Electrician

Journeyman Electrician with commercial electrical experience to perform work on JBER and in Fairbanks. Applicant must be able to pass a drug screen, possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and a State of Alaska Fitness Card.

Project Administrator

Job Duties:

Construction Management Intern

Duties:

  • Support the project manager
  • Subcontractor and supplier coordination
  • Material tracking
  • File management
  • Takeoffs
  • Document control (submittals, RFIs and change orders) and progress reporting.

Qualification Requirements:

Education and Experience.  Students must be enrolled in a college or university pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Proficient PC skills and ability to learn new programs. Familiarity with construction industry practices preferred.  Must be able to understand and communicate effectively with Project Manager and fellow employees.

Physical Demands / Work Environment.  The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by a Construction Management Intern to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Regularly required to sit and/or stand during a work shift of four to six per day.
  • Employee is occasionally required to stoop, bend, walk, crouch, and climb.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50-90 pounds personally.
  • Continuous mental attention required to complete tasks in an efficient manner.
  • Work can be performed at heights requiring the employee to climb ladders.
  • Frequently walk on uneven surfaces, including natural ground and slopes in varying weather conditions.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, based on project need(s) and demand(s).

Accounting Support

Job Duties:

  • Support project managers with all accounting functions and processes
  • Prepare, organize and distribute requisite reports
  • Contacting vendors and contractors
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

  • Experience with Construction accounting
  • Experience with Sage, Timberline, Master builder, or other construction accounting software.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
